BAC Election Results
Water Code Section 60233 requires the establishment of a budget advisory committee (BAC) for purposes of reviewing the Water Replenishment District of Southern California’s (WRD) proposed replenishment assessment and operating budget, including reserve funds maintained by the District. The BAC consists of seven (7) members who serve a four (4)-year term and who are elected from among representatives of producers who are owners or operators of groundwater producing facilities who are subject to the replenishment assessment pursuant to Section 60317.
The membership of the BAC is composed as follows:
(A) Two members shall be elected by vote of entities with an annual pumping allocation of less than 5,000 acre-feet (AF) (Category A).
(B) Two members shall be elected by vote of entities with an annual pumping allocation of at least 5,000 acre-feet but less than 10,000 acre-feet (Category B).
(C) Three members shall be elected by vote of entities with an annual pumping allocation of 10,000 acre-feet or greater (Category C).
