Esther Rojas
Esther Valle Rojas is the Manager of Watermaster & Water Resources. In her role, she acts as the Watermaster (Administrative Body) for the Central Basin and West Coast Basin, which are two of the most utilized urban groundwater basins in the nation and ensures water rights are managed and implemented in accordance with the court approved Judgments. In addition, she oversees regional planning efforts, and all the state and federal grant funding for the District.
Esther has more than fifteen years’ experience in water resources policy, planning and funding programs. Prior to WRD, she worked for the Las Vegas Valley Water District where she worked on policy analysis, community outreach and strategized messaging; and the Colorado River Commission of Nevada where she acted as a state representative for bi-national, inter-state and local policy impacting the Colorado River.
Esther completed a Public Policy Fellowship with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, DC. She has a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. When not working, Esther is typically traveling or exploring the outdoors, used bookstores or farmer’s markets with her husband and two daughters.
